Oslo Panorama

Fall 2018: For a long time I have had the habit of waking up two or three times during the night. At least once I get up, go to the bathroom, eat something, look out the window, sit in the armchair and surf or check social media.

One night I noticed my own mirror image in the kitchen window. The body was a silhouette against the illuminated doorway behind me. The mirror image was half transparent and mixed with the view of the city with its dots and geometric spots of light, dark trees, dark hills in the west of Oslo, dark skies with dimly moonlit clouds. I took some pictures with my mobile phone. This I repeated around midnight every night most of this fall. I started using props, varying positions, lights and placement. Some of this nightly activity in my apartment at Tøyen in Oslo is documented in this book. A lot is left out.
